It’s been awhile since I’ve checked in on my 101 Goals in 1001 Days list. Here are some of the items I’ve been able to cross off the list recently.
7. Attend a workshop
Some of you may know that in my free time I choreograph and teach for a few local dance teams. I also love doing group fitness classes, and have long thought I could be pretty good at teaching them. I heard about an upcoming Zumba teacher training and decided to sign up. I am fully aware that a lot of people see Zumba and similar aerobics and dance fitness as silly, but I’m actually excited to get a class going soon. If anyone wants to come dance with me let me know and I’ll keep you up to date!
13. Learn more about SEO
I attended an SEO for photographers class in Denver and took 37 pages of notes. Be on the lookout for a few changes here on the website, but most of it will be behind the scenes stuff that hopefully won’t even be noticeable. Lots of work ahead!
78. Cosplay at Denver Comic Con
I was excited for this one. I decided to go to Denver Comic Con as Sailor Venus, obviously my favorite sailor scout. (Check out my Sailor Venus milk bath session). It was super crowded but a lot of fun, and I picked up a new piece of artwork, which is my favorite thing to do at events like this.
89. Have a booth at an event
I posted about my booth at the Unicorn Festival, but haven’t checked back in yet. It was a fun event with a ton of people! I was going nonstop all day chatting and taking photo booth shots, so I didn’t get to see much of the rest of the event, but it seemed like people were enjoying themselves.
52. Take new photos of Minnie
This one is an ongoing project, since my cat Minnie obviously needs a ton of photos taken of her at all times because she is so cute. Here are a couple recent ones though for your viewing delight.
That’s all for now, but check back as I will try to do another update towards the end of the year. I have exactly one year from today to complete my list!
Hi, I’m Melissa and I’m a portrait photographer in Denver.
