Frida Inspired Maternity Milk Bath
Oh boy, have I got a fun session for you guys today! When Morgan told me she wanted to do a Frida inspired maternity milk bath as party of her boudoir photo session, I might have freaked out just a bit. Frida Kahlo is a painter famous for self portraits in which she is often surrounded by bright and colorful flowers. I knew I had just been given a free pass to go nuts and get ALL the flowers for this milk bath session! (In my world, more is more.) I am in love with how these maternity photos turned out! I also want to give a special shout out to my makeup artist and assistant Marisa, who helped to wrangle all the flowers and arranged them in an adorable wreath around Morgan’s cute baby bump.
Morgan is an awesome photographer from NM, and I was thrilled that the timing worked out perfectly for her to do her maternity session with me while she was here in Colorado shooting a wedding. She is also a vintage clothing enthusiast, and brought some of the cutest pieces for her photoshoot! I love the cute pink bed jacket, the retro cherries sun top, and the black lace outfit that we paired we her beautiful collection of turquoise jewelry. I was so excited we also got the perfect shade of turquoise in the water – it might be my new favorite color for the bath!
Thanks so much Morgan for letting me share some of your images here on my blog, and congrats on your new addition!
Marisa Lux Makeup rocked this gorgeous makeup. Check out some of my favorites below!
