Pink Maternity Milkbath | Monochrome

September 19, 2019

Hi friends! I’m so excited to share my next installment in my monochrome milkbath series! I got to work with an amazing repeat client for this pink maternity milkbath. She did her boudoir shoot last year, and came back to my studio for some maternity photos! We did an all pink set with roses and a lace and tulle outfit.

After we had our all pink photo shoot fun, we got a little crazy with the splatter paint! I love getting a little messy and the good news is this paint just washes right off in the water. I also loved this green lace outfit she brought for some maternity boudoir pictures. Check out some words from the mama herself and a few of my faves from our session below.

Makeup by the always fabulous Lark Mervine.

I am beyond grateful to Melissa Mullins for capturing my first pregnancy and journey into motherhood with my milk bath maternity shoot. I love Melissa’s style, so I let her pick most of the outfits. I did a pink monochrome with pink roses, a turquoise lace lingerie look with pearls (which ended up being my baby’s middle name!), and a brightly colored paint splatter look! Melissa always makes you feel so nurtured and like a star in her awesome studio. She has music, snacks, and a special place to do makeup (huge thanks to the talented Makeup by Lark!). The milk bath is warm and Melissa helps you pose with every shot so you’re not like… uhhhh what do I do? She helps you and uses towels to help you prop up. As a mama herself, Melissa also is very aware of poses that are more comfortable for pregnancy and I appreciated that. I am forever grateful that I made the investment to do my first round of milk bath photography before I was pregnant and this round when I was about to experience mommyhood for the first time. I will treasure these photos for the rest of my life and it was two of the most special things I have ever done for myself and for future memories of these times. Thank you Melissa! And, for anyone considering a milk bath session with Melissa… don’t think twice… do it. Warmly, K.H.
